International Programs

Traralgon College provides an international flavour with a variety of programs. Students and staff are able to learn from their counterparts in other countries and enjoy international visits and exchanges. Each year the College hosts visiting student groups and staff from our sister schools, students who are studying here on a fee paying basis and exchange students from a number of other countries. Cultural awareness and foreign language development are also enhanced through the College LOTE program.

International Full Fee Paying Students Studying At Traralgon College

Since 1998, the College has enrolled international students on a fee-paying basis. These students have continued their studies in courses such as Commerce, Law, Accounting, Actuarial Studies, Arts, Biotechnology, Engineering, and Nursing at institutions including Melbourne University and Monash University (which has a nearby Campus).

There are currently seven students studying at the College as fee-paying students. These students have the opportunity to select from our extensive range of VCE and VET programs, and to participate in our extra-curricular activities. Students and staff work closely together to ensure the delivery of an excellent curriculum and welfare service. Extra tutorials, revision lectures and curriculum-based excursions are provided to assist students in their studies.

The College arranges home stay accommodation, appointment of welfare providers, and airport meetings (where required), and provides assistance in setting up bank accounts, completing immigration requirements, and arranging applications for tertiary study. Students are given an orientation program on arrival in Australia, and are provided with ongoing assistance throughout their schooling. The College has a positive partnership with home stay families, and together with them, works to assist students in achieving their best possible outcomes.
